Dr. Kelly’s approach is active, warm, and evidence-based. There is strong research showing that methods like cognitive behavioral therapy reduce the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that keep people stuck, and she adapts them to each person’s age, personality, and goals. Sessions focus on building real skills, not just talking through problems.
She completed a pre-doctoral fellowship at Cambridge Hospital / Harvard Medical School and a post-doctoral fellowship in Dialectical Behavior Therapy for Adolescents (DBT-A) at Bradley Hospital / Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. She earned her doctorate in School-Clinical Child Psychology at Pace University.
Before private practice, Dr. Kelly worked in public and private schools and on inpatient and outpatient hospital units. She has led therapy groups for widows and for children on the autism spectrum. That range shapes how she works today: she understands classrooms and clinics, and she often collaborates with schools and pediatricians so a child’s support is consistent everywhere.
Psychology is Dr. Kelly’s second field. She first studied art history, earning a BA from Fordham University and an MA from Hunter College, and worked at Christie’s in New York before turning to clinical work.
